Medipol Extension | Medipol Hospital in Kosuyolu has comissioned Superpool with the design of an extension building in front of two existing buildings in their current facility.
The design maximizes the buildable area allowed in the zoning of the site; sitting on a narrow, oddlyshaped footprint, the new building cantilevers over the existing two structures to allow the regular and efficient plan a patient-rooms floor would require. While it gives a total identity and a gate for the existing buildings, with private balconies and roof gardens, the building aims to spatially contribute to the healing of its patients. | | Team: Selva Gürdoğan, Gregers Tang Thomsen, Yıldız Arıcan, Marta Marszal, Caner Ölçüşenler, Rodrigo Rieiro
