The first pilot events of HOP pop-up playground were realized in Avcılar and Ümraniye, in collaboration with Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Social Services Department and Park, Garden and Green Areas Department, Istanbul Volunteers and Superpool.

HOP is a pop-up playground aims to develop the perception and trigger the creative and inventive instincts especially of babies and young children. HOP transforms the site where it is installed, whether it is a pitch, a street or the corner of a forest, into an undefined playground for experimental games. Simple and lightweight materials like cardboard boxes, pieces of cloth, tape and rope are left in the activity zone to support the games of the children. In whichever way they wish, small children carry out adventurous experiments using these materials. They create, for instance, their own “play equipment” like tents, towers or tunnels.
